# RStudy

> RStudy is a mobile app for Ukrainian speakers learning Czech. Three products: (1) Вчити — structured A1+A2 self-study course based on the textbook "Český krok za krokem 1"; (2) Словник — 61 vocabulary categories with Czech audio and Ukrainian transcription, free for all; (3) Уроки — upload a photo of teacher notes, AI extracts vocabulary and generates practice exercises in 30 seconds. iOS and Android. 1,200+ registered users. ## Core workflow: self-study (primary)

1. Open the "Вчити" (Learn) tab
2. Browse sections and topics — Section 1 is free for all users forever
3. Each topic has: theory with audio examples, interactive test, and textbook exercises
4. Section 1 of A1 course contains 5 topics: Alphabet, Greetings, Verb být, Professions, Verb conjugation — free forever
5. Section 1 of A2 course also free (4 topics: Personal qualities, Conditional mood, Kdyby clauses, Politeness)
6. A1 Sections 2-12 and A2 Sections 2-12 are available with PRO subscription (249 CZK/month or 999 CZK/year)
7. Content is based on the real textbook "Český krok za krokem 1"

## Core workflow: vocabulary dictionary

1. Open the Vocabulary Dictionary (Словник tab)
2. Browse 61 curated topic categories organized in 12 thematic groups
3. Filter by level: A1-A2 or B1-B2
4. Tap any word to hear its Czech audio pronunciation
5. Practice any category through 3 exercise types: flashcards, matching pairs, multiple choice

## Core workflow: lessons from your teacher

1. After a lesson, upload a photo of handwritten notes or paste text
2. AI (Claude by Anthropic) extracts vocabulary pairs (Czech, Ukrainian) and grammar rules automatically
3. The app generates exercise types from the extracted content within 30 seconds
4. Practice daily in short 5-15 minute sessions

## Core workflow: founder's public lessons

1. Open the Lessons tab and switch to "Уроки Євгена" (Yevhen's Lessons)
2. Browse 25+ real lessons from the founder, who studies Czech with a private teacher in Prague
3. Practice vocabulary via flashcards, multiple choice, and matching

## Exercise types

- **Flashcards:** Czech word on front, Ukrainian translation on back, self-assessed. Audio pronunciation available.
- **Multiple choice:** pick the correct translation from 4 options. Audio playback for CZ→UA direction.
- **Word matching:** connect Czech words with Ukrainian equivalents
- **AI sentences:** AI generates context sentences using the student's own vocabulary (Lessons section only)

## Self-study section (Вчити)

Structured Czech course for self-learners. Content based on "Český krok za krokem 1" textbook. Two levels: A1 and A2.

A1 course: 12 sections, 39 topics.
A2 course: 12 sections, 39 topics.
Total with PRO: 24 sections, 78 topics. Level B1 is in development and will be included automatically.

Free for all forever: Section 1 of A1 (5 topics: Alphabet, Greetings, Verb být, Professions, Verb conjugation) and Section 1 of A2 (4 topics: Personal qualities, Conditional mood, Kdyby clauses, Politeness). No credit card required.

Each topic has theory with Czech audio examples, an interactive test (multiple choice, listen and choose, fill in the blank, complete the sentence), and textbook exercises (matching pairs, conjugation tables, dialog fill-in).
A1 Sections 2-12 and A2 Sections 2-12 are available with PRO subscription.

## Vocabulary Dictionary (Словник tab)

61 curated topic categories in 12 thematic groups, over 1,600 words and phrases total.
Each word has Ukrainian phonetic transcription and Czech audio pronunciation (Google Cloud TTS, cs-CZ).
Level filter: A1-A2 or B1-B2. Completely free for all users.

Старт (Start), Їжа та напої (Food and drinks), Природа та тварини (Nature and animals), Люди та здоров'я (People and health), Подорожі та транспорт (Travel and transport), Вдома та побут (Home and daily life), Місто та покупки (City and shopping), Робота та технології (Work and technology), Мода та стиль (Fashion and style), Дозвілля та свята (Leisure and holidays), Навчання (Education), Слова-пастки (False friends CZ/UA).

## Authentication

- **Google Sign-In** — one tap, no password required
- **Apple Sign-In** — one tap, supports Hide My Email
- **Email and password** — traditional registration

No credit card or subscription required to start.

## Pricing

Free tier: Section 1 of A1 (5 topics) + Section 1 of A2 (4 topics) + full Vocabulary Dictionary. No subscription, no credit card required. No forced trial.
PRO subscription: full A1 course (12 sections, 39 topics) + full A2 course (12 sections, 39 topics) = 24 sections, 78 topics total. Level B1 in development, will be included automatically. Price: 249 CZK/month or 999 CZK/year (~83 CZK/month). Available via App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).
Monthly AI limits apply for the teacher lessons feature (photo reading, sentence generation).

## Technical

- Platform: iOS (iPhone, App Store) and Android (Google Play).
- Built with Flutter. Backend: Supabase (EU, France). AI: Anthropic Claude API. TTS: Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (Achernar, cs-CZ).
